Winterizing fresh Water tank on h260

I’m winterizing my 2005 Hunter 260 and draining my fresh water tank , I have pumped the tank dry as far as the sink pumps will empty it and then disconnected the main line off the bottom and carefully drained another 3+ gallons, I also blew the water back to each sink from under the V berth connection, reaching inside the V berth was a very hard and slow process and I’m hoping some one has figured out an easier and more efficient was of winterizing the water system. I prefer not to put winterizing fluid as it leaves a tainted after smell.

Shop vac with a small hose down through the filler port at the side of the tank below the V-berth, then manipulate it into the bottom of the tank??? Then use it at each sink head and check the bilge too. (like I have a clue how to protect a boat that freezes )
