Getting prepared to winterize my C36 MK1 tomorrow by reading the owner's manuals, threads, and Maine Sail's tips (btw - Walmart does carry the marine/RV propylene glycol based antifreeze in a Prestone clear jug).
The owner's manual for the M-25XP mentions nothing about opening up the prop shaft coupling. However, the newer Universal owner's manuals (X-25XPB, etc.) mentions opening the shaft coupling to remove the strain from the shaft while being hauled or on the hard.
Is this good practice on the older boats as well?
