The ice maker requires that the boat’s water pump remain on to make ice, as the ice maker doesn’t have its own pump. The water supply attaches to a liter-sized filter, with a thin hose to the ice maker. Even if I wanted to fill with pink stuff, which I do not, how to get around that water enters the ice maker only during the beginning of each ice making cycle?
Is there a way to drain the ice maker? Must pink stuff be used?
