Winter Storage

i am interested in affordable winter storage in Westchester County or Nassau County on Long Island Sound...i welcome all suggestions
i hope my request is not a non sequitur or an oxymoron...lol

Chris, you don't mention whether your preference is in water, on land, mast up, mast down....

If you're looking for in-water storage, I "winter" my 376 in Huntington, L.I. at West Shore Marina (631-427-3444). They have excellent floating docks and a "bubbling" system which keeps ice away from the docks and your boat if it gets cold enough to freeze the harbor. Your 42' length is fine at their docks and they've got "active" electric (30 and/or 50 amp) energized all winter if you want to plug in periodially to charge up the batteries. Wet storage is $25/ft. They also offer dry storage with either mast up or down.

During the summer, though, I'm at a moorning in Oyster Bay (sort of around the corner). Every 3-4 years I'll haul and store on the hard at my marina in OB.
