Winter storage covers

I was recentlydealing with a manufacturer of storage covers for my Hunter 31 (1985) He did not have the specs for my boat and contacted Hunter directly. He was told that all of Hunters records for a 1985 Hunter 31 were lost when the plant moved and the records were destroyed because of rain. Firstly has anyone heard of this and secondly any ideas on how to find the specs which I require so the order can be placed? The type of cover I'm looking at is on an aluminum frame, high enough to allow a person of average height to stand up under the cover. I do not have the manual for the boat. Thanks.

Briann, Seems Unusual .....................

......... as I have had a dodger, bimini, companionway cover, and am working on a winter cover for our 1999 H310. All of this was custom work done to our quirks and peculiarities. We have never sought out any standard specs and it was my understanding from what I have seen of the work done at the dealers that it is all custom work. We always go out for three quotes and no one has asked for the boat specs yet. Hope this makes life somewhat simpler.Regards,s/v Island Hunter

Boat specs are on this site

Look under the Boat Information tab on this web site. You will find most of the specs for your boat there. There is not much more than that in the manuals. I don't have a 31 manual, but my '85 28 manual stinks and you are not missing much from what is right here on this board. Also if you post a "1985 31' owners manual needed" post somebody may be willing to copy theirs for you.
