I just wanted to share my experience last week at the Key Lime Sailing Club in Key Largo, FL. My wife and I take an annual vacation to somewhere warm to escape the winter weather here in Indianapolis. I think everyone has noticed the ads in the back of SAIL magazine for the Bayside Bungalows in the Keys with sailboat available for use. My wife and I decided to give the Key Lime Sailing Club a try this year. I've attached a link to their website below. We had a wonderful time and it was nice to get away from the 5 degree Indiana nights and do some relaxing sailing in the solitude of Buttonwood sound at Mile Marker 100. They've got a really nice setup down there. Cute little bungalows, Tiki Huts, a mini fridge, microwave, coffeemaker etc in your room. The staff was friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The biggest plus was the ability to take off and go for a sail in January. They have an O'day 23 and a 22' Catalina available for your use. The sailing was beautiful and the Sunsets were great. The price was also a bargain, it's cheap to fly into Miami or Ft. Lauderdale, low cost car rentals are also easy to find and the Key Lime Sailing club was a big bargain at $100 a night for the Sailfish unit and $120 for the bigger Dolphin unit -those prices include the use of the boats! If you're looking for a nice relaxing getaway I highly recommend the Key Lime Sailing club.
