Winter Cruising?

Where would the best chance of getting good cruising weather during January or February, Florida or Texas? I'd like to trailer somewhere in the winter to get away from the cold in the midwest. It would be great to get several trailer sailers to make up a flotilla. Any one else interested?

Winter Cruising

Just my view but I would suggest Florida, paticularly the Homestead Marina in Homestead Florida. You will have the entire protected bay to sail upon, and the ICW all the way to Key West.Having worked and scuba dived in the Gulf, the waters along the Florida Panhandle, Louisiana and Texas can very rough in January and February.
