2 34 Mark II Herrington Harbour North
Hi,

Bought a Mark II - 98 last year with Wing Keel. Great boat in many ways, but it seems to me I cannot get closer to the wind than 50 degrees. Would a Fin Keel model do better?
Intend to ship it to my homeland, Sweden, next year and it may be cheaper to remove keel prior to shipment and then re-install on the other side.
How much would a fin keel cost and would there be any market for a wing keel.

Happy to have fellow owners views.

Best regards Pontus

The fin keel is supposed to point a little better. How high you can point has many factors. Sail trim, boat loading, etc. I have a '90 Mk1.5, 45 apparent is about as tight as i want to go. In strong winds/gusts I can pinch to 30 and still have some way on.

I invite you to visit and join the C34 International Assoc. www.c34.org We have a great forum, this has been discussed before and can be found using the search function
