Wing Nut for Rudder???

I have a H240, 1999. There is only a single plain nut on the bolt which is used to hold the rudder onto the boat. On my previous H19, there was a wing nut, which you could use to tighen and loosen the tension holding the rudder in place. On the H240, there is only the rudder line for the up and down position. I have to keep the line cleated when the rudder is in the down position and I worry about what will happen when I eventually run the rudder into something. When I go to my slip, the centerboard is in the up position and the rudder comes close to hitting bottom. When I recently saw a new H260, it had a single arm wing nut on it's rudder. Did I just not get the wing nut for my boat or is the H240 without wings! Any comments would be appreciated. Happy Holidays, s/v Endeavor
