I'm thinking of mounting a Standard Horizon Windspeed indicator on the forward cockpit bulkhead just to port of the companionway hatch. Has anyone done this? How did it work? How did you cover up the back side of the indicator in the quarter berth overhead/bulkhead? Thanks.

That was in the 80s. I found that it was a hassle because someone in the cockpit blocked the view of it half the time. Closed the hole with starboard. The new wind-point is on the new NavPod. Another spot I thought about was the dorad box but that might be too far forward for some. But those large digital displays are on the mast below the boom.
