On my 85 C30
On the back of the water heater in my boat there is a flip up pressure release lever, I disconnect both the intake and output hoses and blow out all the water, it is hard to catch alot of it but it will run to the bilge anyway. You may need to get a little piece hose to attach to blow out, I blow both directions. I then put in maybe a cup of antifreeze, that will flush out quickly in the spring and prevent any little puddles from freezing. I also let the boats pressure pump do most of the work. It will take awhile for the pump to clear the majority of the water but a few gallons will be left in the heater, that is what needs to get blown out. I also open the tanks, stick a clean towel and my arm in there, just keep sopping up the last of the water into a bucket. I leave them open for the winter, they are clean and dry.
I hate the pink stuff!! It can take all summer to get rid of if you use to much. Just a splash in the sink traps and toilet trap is all I use.
Good luck Dean
