Hunter 23 WIll be at a Navy base
I have Hunter 23 and today it got a good bath. During the bath I found out one of my windows leak. The windows our plastic tinted and they have many screws on the out side and a few on the inside. It has a wood frame on the inside and no frame on the outside. I assume I need to take the window out by unscrewing clean up the old putty or whatever it is. What do I bed the windows after I clean them up? Do I use like 5200 or some other material.

Hi, I discovered one of my windows was leaking too so I removed it, scraped what I could of the old caulk and used butyl tape. There isn't evidence of a leak yet, but it's only been onen day. I am not an expert but I wouldn't use anything that you can't remove. 5200 no way.

I concur with Emerald. I resealed my windows a couple years ago with butyl tape i purchased from an auto parts store. No problems. Had i not already had screw holes in the windows, i probably wouldnt have rescrewed them either. Butyl seals and holds very secure.

Reseal you acrylic ports with DOW795 $8-10/tube.

It is best not to use any screws once the sealant has cured to prevent cracks in the acrylic. They use this stuff in commerical buildings to glaze windown in place.
