I am in the process of refurbishing a First 35, and am replacing the old crazed windows (not the portlights at this time, tho). These windows are held on by a combination of doublesided adhesive foam between the windows and the deck fiberglass, and approximately 34 "Chicago posts." They may be called something else but the closest I could find were referred to as Chicago posts or binding posts. Essentially, these are bolts: The exterior bolt is hollow and threaded internally, while the interior bolt (that goes through the interior window frame) goes into the hollow and is screwed in. The ones on the boat are aluminum and appear to have been anodized, but many were so corroded that they sheared off while removing. I cannot find replacements anywhere. Has anyone replaced their windows with a similar system, and if so, what did you use. I am going to need 34 sets for each side, and I have search locally and on line to no avail. The Chicago Posts I have found on line are nowhere as strudy as the ones on the boat...

They are usually very helpful for questions like this, and ive found that parts are sometimes cheaper straight from them..
