Hi Doug

The moulding is available in the UK in rolls of 20 metres which is enough
for 2
Vegas. You also need the chrome locking strip and a tool. The place that I
purchase it from call it:

3/16 x 1/8 Wide Claytonrite

Chrome Filler strip

Fixing Tool

The work must be done when it is absolutely dry. This is only for Vegas up to
about V3000 as the Series 3 vegas use a different strip as the window hole is
smaller and the glass lies outside the hole and is smaller than the
opening. It
costs about £50 for the twenty metres, £12 for the filler and £8 for the tool.
I do not know if it is available in the uSA but I expect it is.

I know others have posted their purchases of the rubber window
molding/gasket earlier. I remember one owner stating that the molding is

Douglas, there was an article in one of the old VODCA/VODA newsletters about molding from early volkswagens or something similar. I "had" a copy but have been unable to find it. If someone can research it , I am sure they will find it. Frank Gallardo, sv Cin Cin, V-2184
