Have a 2008 Hunter 45 DS. The wrap-around window is really cool but...Not sure how to fix this...
The outside is pretty straight forward. Clean and caulk. I have BoatLIFE Life-Caulk, would this be correct to use?
Inside, on the port side, the caulking has come away and due to water damage the frame screws aren’t holding. Does it matter? Not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Without better pictures... I think the right move would be to remove the window, clean off all of the old caulk, fill in the screw holes with filler (epoxy) and re-drill pilot holes for the screws. Then re-caulk your window and put it back in place and let the caulk dry.

I would follow @rgranger ’s advise. The boat is 12 years old. You have sailed her on ocean passages. She has twisted and turned over the waves. Exposed to the tropical heat. I think the caulking has just given up. Applying more just won’t solve the problem.

Best practice is to remove. Clean up the window, frame and the hole. Apply epoxy to the hole if it was cut to large. Get the moisture out of the area around the hole. When again solid.Dry fit the window to the space. Get some Dow795 adhesive caulk. Reset the window.

Ready to sail again when dry. At least 24 hours. Good luck.
