I am interested in getting an anchor winch for my 1984 H31 and would appreciate what other 1983-1987 H31 owner's have done and how wnd where they installed an anchor winch.

I ran the wiring down the starboard side with all the other wiring going to the bow. I placed an access hatch on that side to make the connections.
I saw a nice looking flatter "vertical" winch that's out.. Anyone had any experience with that one yet? Its the Lewmar V700G Vertical Windlass. This is the one I was considering. I'll attach a link to it. I have an 84 Hunter 31 as well.
