I have hunter 1992 43 legend. I purchased this boat about 7 months ago. trying to figure the systems out can not get the windlass to work . Is there a switch to turn on. talk to hunter they said it was after market . Any help would be appiciated .

Yes - usually there is switch that is also a circuit breaker. It is not mounted on the circuit breaker panel. On mine it is under a seat and you have to either push or pull to apply power. The motor does take a substantial number of amps and to be safe that you are not depleting your batteries - first start the engine then operate the motor. To locate the power switch - you may have take the panel off so that you can see the motor - then fellow the cables.
Suggestions
Also, take a look at the battery switch panel, but if it was dealer installed, it could be anywhere. FWIW, I have one mounted on the main electrical panel with all the rest.
Mine has a CB switch in the main panel for powering the control relay, and a main CB under the dinette for powering the motor.
