Getting ready to install the Lewmar 1000 Pro I bought on my Catalina 28 Mk II.
Expected to need wire size like awg 0 or 2 but the windlass is already pré-wired
On a 8 feet lenght with wire around 8 gage or close.I don't want to hook 2 wires
With so much size différence together. Windlass draws 50 amp. To a Max of 70
Amp. Comes with a 70 amp. Circuit breaker. Would like some advise about the size I Need. 8 Gage seems kinda small to me .
