I am in the process of purchasing a windlass for my 88 Legend 37. I would appreciate any advice as to where to place the windlass. The bow roller for the anchor is on the starboard side of the bow. The 88 Legend 37 has a roller furler which is below deck level with the drum placed at the forward point in the anchor locker. With the placement I am thinking of the windlass would be placed on the deck directly behind the anchor roller. That way the motor for the windlass would be in the cabinet in the V berth and out of the way. With that placement I would be feeding the road and chain in the locker manually. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
