Windlass on a Hunter 30

I would like to install a manual windlass on my 1989 Hunter 30. How can I do it with the limited locker and cover arrangement? Help!

We also own a 1989 Hunter 30, and have had the same question you have raised. Hopefully someone has an answer as to how a windlass can be mounted.

Done it! on a 33.5 w/locker

I mounted a piece of 1/4" stainless steel plate on the lip of my locker and ground the lid so it would close flush. It works very well! I have some good pictures of it that I would be glad to send you!
