I installed a LOFRANS verticall electric several years ago and it still works great. Here are a few things that I did:
Used "starboard" above and below deck for extra support.
Welding cable for wire (cheaper and it works ) for the run to battery.
Bought both up and down deck switches...handy for our heavy 50' chain to nylon rode.
Although not probably needed in your boat, but I designed and had made a custom anchor platform that holds our 2 anchors (Danforth and Bruce)with rollers.
Windlass circut breaker is just inside companionway.
