Windlass Maintenance

My 2003 331 has a Lewmar Concept windlass. My guess is that it hasn't been cleaned since new. The Lewmar winch manual is very specific about lubricants, however the windlass manual simply suggests using "SAE10 oil" and "grease". Suggestions?

Hi Ron;
I have a Simpson-Lawrence Horizon Express and the maintenance schedule calls for regular fresh-water rinses and annual stripping of the gypsy assembly for treatment with oil and grease. No mention of what gets oiled and what gets greased. :cry: The motor case, and internal gears are left undisturbed.
