windlass for 27.7

Hi All,

Just got Beneteau 27.7. Need to install a windlass but the chain locker is too small. Has anybody
installed one? Manufacturer ? How to install ? Any info or lead would be very appreciated.

Nice boat!

If I recall it has the same type anchor locker as our First 260. When I've been in the Med I always wondered how it would be to med-moor it without a windlass.... hard to install one because like your boat it does not have a windlass shelf. I have a friend that has added a shelf to his shelf-less locker,VERY securely attached. On it went a small vertical Lewmar windlass. On smallish boats you might have to cut a hole in the anchor locker door to allow the gypsy to clear.
