My O'day 28 has an old non-working Moor Electronics apparent wind indicator instrument and sender unit that I've had removed and will send in for repair. The sender unit, with a windex and spinning cups, looks pretty much burned up in the sun and the insulation has come off the wires. I suspect it's junk but will attempt to salvage thru their repair center. The wiring harness is junk for sure at this point. Not sure how old it is.I'd like to consider a replacement instrument with a neat analog display with red and green stripes maybe and wind speed. And I'd like to stay at the cheaper end of things. Any suggestions? Moor Electronics has one, and Raymarine Seatalk 90 I've taken a quick look at, but don't have real complete pricing yet and I'm afraid they are more than I'd like to spend. If I could do this for less than $500, I would, I guess that is about my limit to spend. Thanks for any leads or ideas, dave
