WIND INSTRUMENT STICKING

The wind direction indicator at the top of my mast is sticking. (Not my windex but the one attached to the ST50 ). It will stick until I get up to about 10knots apparent. Any advice on what to lube it with? I only want to go up the mast once to do this. Thanks for any suggetions.

Lubrication

I used a silicone based lubrication when I did mine. Since then I've heard that a Teflon based lubricant would probably be better. Sorry it's not a definitive answer. I'm sure that others will have good advice as well. What method are you using to get up the mast easily?

Bosun's Chair

Bob, I have a Bosun's chair that I use to go up. Usually I go up with the main halyard and use the spinnaker halyard as a safety. I had a power winch installed last year so my wife doesn't have to work so hard anymore. Thanks for the response. I'll look into the teflon option.
