1976 Oday25. how do the winches come apart. I didn't use a magnifying glass, but glancing at it, I can't see how they come apart unless they unbolt from underneath and then you have access to take apart. others have clips etc and are serviced from the cockpit. These are gray, silverish aluminum looking. help, thanx,gene

lHow to open Winches

What winch do you have? Different models open differently. On our 23 and 222 the winches have a plastic center that you press down on(this unengages the winch) and carefully slide the winch up, being careful not to loose the springs and pauls that are now exposed.

I'll look more closely but the winch appears to be solid with no crevices, slots or grooves on top nor at bottom where one might insert a tool to unlatch or remove a retainer etc. name is not visible.
