Help! I have two Barlow (australia) #19 winches on my 1986 272 and feel that they may have never been serviced. I would like some advice on obtaining the replacement springs & other parts. And or help in replacing the whole winch.Thanks, Evan Katzmanekatz25941@aol.com

Evan, have you asked about winches before?

I looked into the forum archives after typing "barlow winches" and found lots of references on parts and tips for repairing Barlow winches. One of the messages was from me to you (I think) about some great pix Rob Rich took when he disassembled and reassembled two or three winches on his boat. There are a couple of addresses of parts suppliers for Barlow winches there too.Go to Forum Archives and type in barlow winches to start the search.Good luck,Tom
