Winches

Does anyone know what model winches come standard on the series #2 VEGA?
I think they are Lewmar, maybe 4", but a model # would be very
helpful. I am trying to find a supplier to order the repair kits for
the ones on the mast and the ones on the cockpit combings.

Hi Ken

Standard winches for the Series II Vega were the Lewmar 8 There were many upgrade options on purchase and many owners have chaged the winches over the years.

Hi Ken

My forestay chainplate failed and the mast collapsed aftwards!! There is an account of this in one of the VAGB Newsletters.
