Where can I get the tool to unscrew the top plate on my Barrows self tailing jib sheet winches?

DO This...

You can do 2 things: 1) Use an adjustable deck plate tool, such as that used on water and fuel tanks. Or else, 2)take two screwdrivers that fit into the holes. Hold them parallel to one another (or cross them). Then take a third screw driver, or lever, and place it perpendicular between the two other screw drivers and turn it to unscrew the locking disk on the winch. These both work for me.

Or

go to Home Depot and purchase the correct diameter steel rod, bend it into the shape of a comfortable handle with 90 degrees bends on each end for about 3 bucks.

Piece of wood with two nails

I took a small piece of wood and marked the distance between the points on hte winch. I then hammered nails through the wood and snipped the sharp tips.
