winch servicing

I have 2 speed, self-tailing Maxwell winches on my 1987 28.5. They havent been serviced in several years and are getting tight. Two questions...(1)does anyone have a parts and breakdown diagram or know where I can find one; and (2)since these winches aren't made anymore, does anyone know where I might find a spring or such thing in the event I screw up on the maintenance?
