Winch part

Since my trailer tire is resolved now come the new one.....................The winch at the cockpit (made of black policarbonate) miss the cover part. I think is a common problem over the years with this type of material. This is a Maxwell 14 standard in a Hunter 23. I have called Hunter and they told me that a similar Lewmar is the #6 standard. I wonder if anybody knows where I can find this part which is much cheaper that the mere of $100 for a new unit and the headache of installation ?

they don't make them anymore but i have ordered parts from them they have some on the shelves that they will sell.

No more winches parts

I 've called Maxwell about the part for the Winch 14 std. For our sadness they don't sell anymore parts because the company was sold to ARCO, which they won't manufacture any part until next year.So,it looks that the only solution I haver is to buy a similar complete winch (hunter told me that Lewmar #6 std will work).My question now goes to any person who have had the same problem and tell me which one work. My concern is their bolts at the attachment.
