That setup's way beefier than the Vega's spinnaker sheet block (which is further aft). I still wouldn't use it, though, for several reasons: - the friction that the extra block adds - the extra load that's applied to the block and the hull - the line between the winch and the genoa car is clear and doesn't need to be improved - .. but above all there's fewer places for a jam if you have to dump the sail in a hurry.
