The organization I work for does an annual event on the River Walk relatively near the Blue Rocks Stadium and the Chase Center in Willmington Del. I have been able to find charts that give me the working depth up to the Market St Bridge but it then indicates the the channel is only 2.8 feet deep past this point till further up the river. As I draw 5ft 3inches its too shallow if true.
I have seen a large square rigged sailboat back in the area at one time so I am having a hard time believing the depth is that shallow. IS there anyone familar with the Christina? Also the chart says contact corp of engineers for more data but does anyone have any idea how? What office etc?
I did find they were doing some dredging in the river but assume that its in the more commercial area of the harbor rather than up the river past Market St.
