I'm thinking of replacing the original head in my 1985 C-36 with a Cricket. A Raritan is currently installed. My question: Will the Cricket simply bolt into the place my current toilet resides or are there adapters or adaptations required? The picture in the WM catalogue looks like the base and mounting might be different from the current installation. I'm not rebuilding the old toilet because it's likely beyond my puzzle-assembling ability, so what I'm really asking is - Is this a no-brainer? Also, should I replace the hoses, clamps etc. Nothing is leaking now, but how long does this stuff last? If I do replace, what specific materials should I use?

The Cricket will not fit the bolt patter for your existing toilet. However, an identical replacement should. However, if you're gonna own a boat, you're gonna have to acquire quite a bit of "puzzle-assembling ability"...you'll go bankrupt replacing EVERYthing that just needs a couple of new washers!
