Wilhelm, a while back I got an e-mail from a Vega in Miami. His name is Fernando Caneles, his Vega is named "Good Karma", and he was looking for other Vega's in the area. If you are interested you can contact him at fcanelas@... Thought you might be interested.--

Wilhem and Frank, "Good Karma" is still in Dinner Key Marina in
Coconut Grove.

I think I may have contacted Wilhem some time ago, but just in case,
my email is fcanelasv@...

I fortunately live a few minutes away from the marina so let me know
when you will be in the area.

There is an US Olimpic Sailing Team training center in the bay, and
this time of year you can see many classes drilling and racing in
the bay at the same time. Quite a thrill.

The same goes to any fellow Vegatarians.

Regards,

Fernando

Hi Fernando, hi Bob;

I'm happy to know there are (now) at least 3 Vegas
in this area. Hope to meet you some day.

Right now I'm kinda 'laid up', since I cracked 3 ribs
a few weeks ago. Though withstanding my 'hurt', I went out
for a sail yesterday- was a beautiful day. I wanted to go
sailing during the previous week, but it was so blustery
and I didn't dare to bent on the sails. It was blowing 30
mph (and some higher gusts). As a matter of fact, I
anchored for lunch and was just about unable to get the
anchor free, my right arm hurt too much!

I'm having my boat out for a bottom job the in a week or
so. Should only take 3 or 4 days. Then I hope to be 'fit'
again for sailing - maybe we can meet at a weekend... :)

Take care... Wilhelm, V-257
