I have serial number 3261, and don't know what year it was maunfactured. It has a foredeck and lines for the centerboard rather than a lever. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Found from a 2001 post

Here is what I found from another site, posted in 2001: I used to have a Widgeon, built in either late 1968 or very early 1969, her O'Day Hull# was 22698, O'Day gave every boat (before the HIN requirement in 1973) two numbers, a Class# and a Hull#. The Class# is the number of that boat based on her class (my Widgeon was # 1791). The Hull# indicates how many total boats O'Day had built at that time. So my Widgeon was the 1791st Widgeon and the 22698th total boat built by O'Day.

Gee, where have I read that before?

It is always fun to see your own words being quoted on these forums! THANKS! By your description, your boat is a 1971 or newer, if there is not an icebox/small parts locker built into the port seat, then she is a 1973 or newer. Anyway, I posted a more detailed answer on the General "Ask an O'Day Owner" part of this forum. If you have any further questions about your Widgeon, go ahead and ask. Also, Rudy Nickerson at D&R Marine is a Great source of O'DAY info, he worked in the Parts Dept. of O'DAY and after O'Day shut down he built the Widgeon for a few years. You should REALLY enjoy that Widgeon, I know I have great memories from the 8 years that I had mine!
