Why would I buy a Hunter 25 over a Cal 25 or Catalina 25? I am looking to buy a sailboat for weekend enjoyment.

You should ask this question on the Catalina site! The answer is because the H'25 is a better boat (period). I assume that you are talking about a Cherubini model!

don't listen to him! You would buy the boat because you sailed one of each and liked it the best. Pretty simple. Never mind the fact that the Hunter 25 is solid, sails better, looks better, and is a better value.

Your thinking of buying a cal?
Why not buy a 25 Hunter? I have 2 of them 1974 25 3'11" Draft Thr rounded deck one. I love mine when out sailing I blow the doors off Cal's and Catalina's even when I'm dragging my dingy. I do have new high performance sails and made a few improvments in performance but even still all I have to say is FAST ROOMY AND CHEAP PRICE!!!!! Also Cal's are ugly! If ya have any questions feel free to drop me a line at Sailnaked69@aol.com I've been sailing them for over 14 years and come up with some good inventions to increase speed and comfort. TY

have not a clue why you would. We have a 95 H26. We extensivly researched all boats from 22 to 28' and found the Hunters were the best buy around in our price class. She sails beautifully and accomadates us as live aboard, 3 to 4 days every week in the summer, in grand style. There are diamonds and there is fancy glass. The choice is yours. You'll have fun on any one of them. Ray
