Why so much bow in Ben 393 boom? Is it normal?

I bought a new Beneteau 393 and have just sailed it three times so far. I seems like there is a lot of upward bow in the boom when it is at rest and when it under sail power. Is this normal1. to bow when at rest2. to bow when it is unfurled3. how much bow is normal?thanks in advance for your help.BOb

In mast or traditional main?

Bob: Does your 393 have an in-mast or traditional main? I am guessing you have an in-mast main, thus the clew of the sail may be putting a heavier load on the end of the boom, with no pressure relief along the foot of the sail to distribute the pressure. Just a thought.
