True, the 44 couldn't fit in the marina and creek I'm in, so I'd keep the 30 as the "close to house" boat... and leave the Xp in St. Maarten? Hey the "draft" is getting deep around here...
Seriously though, the Catalina 30 is already a dream come true for me. Any work or upgrade I do on it, "fixes" me as well as the boat...
