The whole port bulkhead is ready to come out and now it looks like the compression post teak trim must come off too, as there is no way to get it out due to the bulkhead fitting into a "slot" in the compression post. If anyone can provide guidance before I start removing the trim, I'd appreciate it very much.....

The construction of your boat is similar

to John C36's C36. Suggest you find his GREAT photo writeup on the C36 website, www.c36ia.org. It's extremely well done and specific.

You are right.....

he did an excellent job on his C36. But though similar, the deck stepped mast of the C30 poses a different challenge. I just hoped someone could tell me if the whole compression post must come out or just a piece of the trim would clear it for removal. Another issue is the bulkhead is wider than 4 feet.....so...it's going to require joining two pieces of plywood together. I think I read where someone used "biscuits" to do this. Just looking to exploit someone's experience to make this a little easier. As they say....learn from other's mistakes, as you probably won't live long enough to make them all yourself. Any help appreciated.......
