Hi Peggy,
OK, I'm ready to spec out a whole new head, order parts, and get to work. You might remember my original message about my Grand Soleil 35:

I've read your book, a couple of times now, and it really is a great resource. Thanks!
So, here's where I am:
I'm going with the SeaEra pressurized freshwater flush w/90 degree output coupling. I talked with Vic Willman, and confirmed that I can use two separate third-party switches for the water solenoid and the macerator, and he thought that was a pretty decent idea.
A Ronco holding tank, but I can only fit a 10 gallon one in the place where the tank is now. I might be able to go to 16 gallons if I move it somewhere else. That's pretty darn small, eh?
Trident hoses. Still have to work out sizes and lengths...
A new deck fill pump-out plate. The one that's there is 1.25"ish (metric I think), frozen shut, and leaks a lot when it rains. I'll find a nice new 1.5", and fix the installation so it's nice and solid, and doesn't leak.
I have a .75 inch vent on the deck, just one. I have to drill a 1 inch hole in the hull, above the water line for the other vent, right? I'll get a pro to do that.
And I want the option of pumping overboard, beyond the 3-mile mark. This will involve replacing the seacock too, it's weird and messed up. By weird, I mean it's a pass-through configuration with 2 big hoses. By messed up, I mean it won't close fully at the moment. D'oh. I'm wide open to suggestions on how to configure this.
I've decided against a Purisan or similar MSD. I'm berthed in an NDZ, so there's little advantage.
Does this all sound reasonable so far?
;-)
Thanks!
