I was anchored at Hart Miller Island yesterday just out of the mouth of Middle River an the Chesapeake and saw two H260s and one H240! I was too far away to see the names. Who was out there? I almost came by to say hi on my way out. What a perfect sailing day it was, until the wind died around lunch time. -Jay

I wasn't me, Jay

Hi Jay, I was coming north from Saint Michaels Sunday, the winds were GREAT around 10kts. There were a few times Java was hitting and holding at 6kts. Joan and I almost said the hell with work on Monday but we were out of food. Jim S/V Java

I agree!

I couldn't believe when I saw 6.7 kts on the GPS! I knew tuning the rigging properly would help this season! And when the wind died, we had an awesome lunch and a swim. We topped the weekend off with some steamed crabs for dinner! What a weekend.

Almost as bad here

Temperatures in the nineties, humidity even higher and barely any wind. Oh well, decent sailing weather will be back in a week or two. Then I'LL be the one posting stuff about wonderful sailing afternoons...all the way through to next May! Arrr. Peter H23 "Raven"
