That's what I expected would happen. In most situations (including a yard, marina, club etc), we are responsible for damage caused by our boat to others (other boats, yard, buildings etc), and that's why we buy liability insurance.

Marina contracts usually have a lot of waivers. The lack of a contract also carry pitfalls as well. I would contact the owner of the boat which caused the damage and ask for restitution. If he choosees to dismiss your request you may file a suit in small claims court. Just gather the evidence and sworn statements to prove that it was his boat that caused the damage. He may have recourse to the Marina but that would be his problem.
The previous owner would not have given mccrow33 the cradle without the boat being purchased. So mccrow33 did indirectly pay for storage and acquisition of the cradle. The owner of the boat that fell on the cradle and/or the boat yard didn't properly secure the boat from falling or it wouldn't have toppled in such a little bit of high wind. mccrow33 ought to be re-imbursed for his out of pocket loss.
