Who designed the 23.5?

I have a question about modifying what I believe is a design flaw in my 23.5 hull.

I know the original Hunter is out of business, but thought maybe it would be possible to contact the designer directly, if they are still sound.

Anyone know who designed that hull?

I think that the early 23.5's were a Cortlan Steck (sp likely wrong) design

The Hunter 23 wing keel and 18.5 trailerable sailboat sales were declining in the late 1980’s with nothing on the drawing board. As the largest Hunter small boat dealer as well as a MacGregor dealer, Warren Luhrs approached me and I told him to take a mousetrap and build a better mousetrap. I presented
Drawings to Warren which were turned over to the engineer
Who ran with it known as the 23.5. I was very much involved to include introducing that boat on the east coast. I was involved with the design of the small boats after that.

As for the 260, I suggested adding wheel steering, newer style forward hatch, improved dive platform, etc. the production of the 260 was halted in 2006 against my recommendation since sales were still high replacing it with a new 25. Warren Luhrs apologized as I was correct.

Behind the scene, I contributed a lot staying out of the limelight as my goal was to help fellow sailors enjoy sailing. Enough said. The 23.5 was a new hull
