Whitworth Spanners sizes in metric or inches for combi overhaul

Hi everyone,

I'm hoping to break into the combi this weekend to try to free up the prop pitch adjustment. The instructions call for a 5/8" whitworth spanner for "Clamp Nut 14-1" and a 3/4" whitworth for "Clamp nut 22-1"

I would like to find out what the corresponding metric and/or inch wrench sizes are for these. My investigations on the internet lead me to these values, but I do not know if they are correct:

5/8" whitworth = ~1.1inch = ~27.94mm
3/4" whitworth = ~1.3inch = ~33.02mm

So I'm thinknig a 28mm and a 33 mm metric wrench set may do the trick. Anyone know if this should work or not?

Thanks,
Kristopher

I ran into a whitworth thread when getting new fuel hoses made up.
Or was it the prop shaft? Anyway, my understanding is that it is an old english thread. Not used much anymore.
