Whisker Pole

We are tired of holding a boat hook for a whisker pole and are looking to add the real thing. What sizes and arrangements are working for you? Your comments are appreciated.

Check out forespar http://www.forespar.com/whisker2011.shtml#C_LIST LC 10-18. I have an old style adjustable line control pole 12-22 with the cam cleat that I use for both the spinnaker and Genoa that is right at the max allowable for PHRF (Our "J" is 11' 9") when completely collapsed. One day I may cut it down shorter to reduce the weight I have to handle. I think the smaller one would be easier for you, especially if you don't have a spinnaker.
