Which windlass for a 340?

I need help picking the right anchor windlass to fit a 2000 H340. Will the Maxwell Freedom 500 work? Is the flat ledge in the anchor locker strong enough to carry the windlass loads? It looks flimsy. Any pointers by someone who installed a windlass in a 340 would be appreciated.

The problem with that windlass...

Is that it puts the chain out into a built in chainpipe. Great for some boats but not the 340. I'm in the process of installing an Anchorman 700 windlass on my 1998 340 which is what Hunter recommends. The Anchorman just puts the chain out the front of the windlass for it fall into the anchorwell. On my boat the shelf you're talking about has a thick aluminum plate glassed in so I'd say it's pretty strong. I haven't finished the job yet so no pictures. Good luck !
