I don't know which is the best prop--I've used several, the Gori, another folding prop that I can't remember the name and finally the Max prop. I first put the Max prop on my Hunter 380 and was extremely surprised on how well it worked. I had as much control in reverse as I did forward. I used that prop for nine years until I sold the boat and bought a new Hunter 27.
Among things I told the dealer that HAD to be on the new boat was a MAX prop. And it had to be a three blade prop. You won't notice much difference between the two blade and the three blade except in choppy waters. The boat will have more punch with the three blade. Coming home in a storm it pays off. And backing is one of the things that will give you glory. I once had a guy on the dock watch me back into my slip and he came over and asked if I were a professional skipper.
I had a Hunter Vision 32 at one time. It had the folding prop that I can't remember the name. I would not hesitate to install a Max prop on the 32.
The only negative is expense. But I think of that as insurance.
By the way, they are distributed by CDI here in Lynnwood, WA. They are a bunch of engineers and will go out of their way to help you. Very accommodating. Also the Max prop is standard on Swan, Oyster and H-R boats in Europe.
Good luck.
