where's the bilge?

please forgive this newbie post... but where is the bilge on my 84 O'222? Do I access it from the seat locker where the battery is?

I am a 222 newbie too. As I understand it, there wasn't a standard bilge installed on the 222. However the lowest area on the 222 is accessed by removing the plate on the cabin floor- that area is the lowest point where water would accumulate. BTW- this is the area/ space immeditately above the shoal keel.

The area under the hatch seat locker is also part of the bilge, but you're planning on installing a bilge pump, the area that TW pointed out is the place to run the intake hose to. That's where I put mine. My house battery is accessed from inside the cabin just behind this area, though.

Manual pump

Pump is operated manually in the cockpit. I've never had to use it, thank God.
