Where's the anchor well?

On my 19' there is no anchor well. There are 2 cavaties waiting for a outside hatch or inside shelf.Standard shop hatches won't fit, does MaGregor make hatches to fit? There must be a better way to store my anchor than in a 20ltr drum?

Don't touch the cavities

Chris,I what you refer as " two cavities" is the space directly under the deck that you can see from the inside in the bow, I wouldn't touch them. They are filled with styrofoam (like other areas between the hull and the inside liner). That styrofoam gives what is called "positive flotation" and stop your boat from going to the bottom if holed or filled with water.I carry the anchor attached to one side of the bow pulpit with two stainless steel brackets, and the anchor rode in a canvas bag tied to the mast base.
